I didn't list any 'common values', since there are none. The first list was of things that I personally value about my country, but in each case there are many on the Right who want to destroy them. The second list was a list of things that are culturally distinctive of Englishness. Their presence bestows a sense of familiarity which I value but the things themselves are not 'values'. I am not saying that the French should all speak English, for example. I have no idea what point you think you're making with the other stuff. The difference between immigration and colonialism is in any case fairly plain to me, and was explained again by Pharmakon. ![]() |
