Technically, you can describe anything as anything. The question is, would you be correct to describe it as such. Chuck, and you, would be wrong to describe western countries as rape culture. Rape culture doesn't mean a whole culture of people are rape. Rape culture is a set of cultural beliefs that are shared within subgroups within the country. If western countries are not rape culture(which you agree they arent), which subgroups within western countries are rape culture, and what are the cultural beliefs that make up rape culture? |
