I'm sorry, but I feel compelled to point out that there of no reason to believe that this attack had anything to do with Islam or migrants. The attacker was a Briton, and there is no evidence that this was a terror attack in the sense of having a political or religious motivation. It raises issues certainly about knife crime within the black community and access to mental health resources. I think the biggest moral to be drawn from this sorry saga is how much worse the consequences would have been if the attacker had access to guns, as the far right, who see America as a model, would have made possible.
