Black and Asian people have not 'colonised' my country; thats debatable, but even if they havent, my point still stands. If someone who lives in england is english, then someone who lives in india is indian(according to you, this is YOUR argument), and you can have no complaints about how they comport themselves, since they are just another indian doing indian things, in the same way that you have no complaints about how your "british" man comports himself because hes just another british man doing british things. but the frankly racist ideology you espouse I havent espoused any ideology. I am trying to understand your position. You do appear to believe that people are interchangeable fungible units. This belief is blatantly false and saying that has nothing to do with racism. pointing out that a belief is false is not racism. Words matter. The meaning of words matter. The debate is over what the word "english" means. You appear to think it means nothing, or that anything or anyone can fit under that word, be defined by that word, which makes the word meaningless. |
