"you are much safer in a society which prohibits these weapons" This is the central fallacy you keep invoking. You equate being safer against guns with overall safety. As with the example of the sex worker, you conveniently ignore people's desire to be safe from other threats in order to justify restrictions upon their self-defense. Maybe you'd have better luck telling the Palestinians they'd be safer without guns.
