My final final word on the issue

There is a world of difference between participating in a democratic polity under a common law which does discriminate between ethnic groups, and the apartheid system of Israel. I really don't think the latter is an illuminating analogy to the former. There are no "threats" in my society so overwhelming as to warrant throwing away the advantages and freedom of living in a non-militarised society. I understand that Americans find that almost impossible to imagine, but I really think it is you who are thinking "with the blob".
