mapsupport.de banned me!

I almost can't believe it, but i should have seen this coming.

Because of the situation, i was actually going to post my goodbye to it today or tomorrow, i would probably have continued to check it and occasionally reply to posts worth responding to, but not post any material on my own profile. But now i'm gone anyway, once and for all.

What was going to be in my goodbye post, is pretty much what i'll state here anyway: the fact that i'm apparently not allowed to voice any opinions of any kind other than the most obvious ones for MAPs, whatever that is. They also thought my AI art was too realistic, and my non-realistic AI art was too sexual (it really wasn't) for their standards, but i figured i could go with just not posting any images, or any that aren't totally inoffensive, but apparently that wasn't enough.

It's really no wonder not much is going on on there, which really makes me wonder - why do people like them, much like those who ran forums that allowed almost nothing back in the day when forums were popular - why do they even bother running it at all when it's obviously their fault there's almost no activity? What's the point of running something that serves no purpose for the community it supposedly serves, with such devotion to "rules" that kill all activity?

Either way, here's exactly what happened. I posted the rather factual, neutral observation: "The Muslim civilization is the only one to consistently reject all Jewish influence. Make what you want of that."

At first it was allowed on for almost two days, then it was deleted with a generic explanation that it constituted "hate speech against any of the following groups...", and i responded using their appeal option, saying that there's nothing really hateful about it, and the admin agreed, on a second look, and said i could post it again. So i did, several days ago, and about 24 hours later it was deleted again, even giving the excuse that "so many reported it we had to delete it", or something like that. That's what made me decide i wasn't gonna stay on the site. Then now, several days after the second post was deleted, they decided to ban me for it!

So, really, there's not much lost by not being on it anymore. I made no real personal connections and got little feedback on my posts - actually less towards the end than when i started out, owing to the noticably diminishing userbase of the entire network. Without going into any of the stuff i didn't like, there used to be some posting mildly interesting observations about being a MAP etc, but it seems many of them have left recently, or before i even joined in March this year. But there really weren't any serious attempts at MAP activism, or even particularly ambitious posters, other than the ones reposting the kind of stuff you would see posted on here as well, anyway. And i'm talking about all connected networks (whose posts you can view), not just mapsupport.de itself.

There was also a surprising amount, almost majority of female, lesbian and trans users, for some reason. Their posts were such low quality and ambition that they wouldn't be interesting to me anyway, but it didn't help making it relevant for me. I don't know why their userbase is so different from the other MAP communities i know of, but then i don't know anything about the history or makeup of those other "instances", "servers" or whatever they're called - they're mostly kinda secretitive and pretty much invite-only, which is something i have no interest in getting into.

So i really don't think there's that much to it, unless there's some other part of the "pediverse" that's completely invisible from mapsupport.de and that i somehow haven't heard about at all. So i guess i'll just stay on here and map-union.org , with the highly disappointing amount of activity it has. I don't think i will be returning in any manner, given my disappointment in the entire thing that i've just explained, but i might be looking into anything else that's not connected to it, if it comes up. Any tips are appreciated!
