Bringing it home..

All somewhat off-topic of course, but not totally. The bare-bones idea is relevant to some of us here. I have for many years admired the idea of something like Zionism, but not the way it was implemented for the creation of the state of Israel and all the delusions and inevitable violence and arrogance that came with it.. as per the story in the first video I linked (pretty informative and thought-provoking video actually). My idea was that there needed to be a homeland of sorts for the people being persecuted by their governments and their cultures for being attracted to boys and/or girls. But taking territory by force and mass-murder wasn't quite what I had in mind (not as first option anyway). In these modern times, with the sort of engineering technology and the way investment money can be quickly gathered and used, it is completely feasible for a very large anchored floating territory to be build for existing on the wild blue oceans - micronationalism in the form of seasteading, two terms that are easily Googled to find many variations and information. I remember mentioning it a few years back and then China started making oceanic territory in what we call the South China Sea, albeit by occupying island militarily and destroying any local ecosystems in favour of filling-in and extending the land to make military bases. Not quite the same idea as what I had in mind, but it demonstrated that with oodles of money and political will, new sovereign territory can easily be created.. doing away with the old adage about 'land, they're not making it any more'.
