Being "nelly" is an adopted behaviour for the majority of "feminine boys," as far as I know.

It's often a defense mechanism, to keep a distance between themselves and "straights". Again, as far as I know.

The fact that femboys can "butch it up" wherever they want shows that it's just a mask that they can put on and take off. It's learned behavior.

This is NOT to say that "femboys" are NOT born gay, or that they should be discriminated against,

Can being a flaming queen become a habit? Probably. But it is, I believe, not truly part of their essence.

And, yes--there are boys who are very "fem" from a very young age, the question becomes, did the mother encourage or even instigate that behaviour?

If so, I'm not in favor of that...

Being nelly and being gay are two separate things, wouldn't you agree?

Why should someone adopt a false persona just because they have certain sexual attractions?

I just think it's problematic, that's all...

M.
And i am NOT in favor of telling boys that they should "just man up." But they should learn to understand how being nelly can affect so many parts of their lives, from available friends to job opportunities. That's all. Then it should be their choice. No?
