Not contemporary history, but given Christianity's inheritance of the condemnation of pederasty in Leviticus, we can speculate how this condemnation might never have gained currency.

What if the Maccabean Revolt had never happened and the Jews were gradually hellenised?

Another node of history: Paul of Tarsus never had his road to Damascus, the Jesus cult remained a gradually dwindling Jewish corpuscle of no consequence.

Another idea: Pilate chooses to spare Jesus, who continues into old age, but with the promises of the imminent Kingdom unfulfilled, and his disappointed followers melting away. No empty tomb*, no disciples convinced they'd seen the risen Christ...

*My theory is the body was half-inched by Joseph of Arimathea who was a spy for the Sanhedrin, the motive being to prevent Jesus' burial place becoming a focus of devotion for the disciples, and encourage them to go back to Galilee and forget the whole thing - if so, the plan didn't quite work out as expected.
