Didn't you recognize the sealioning? Focusing on the pedantic wording of monkey's claim, rather than on what he meant? Insisting that he fully explain the obvious fact that "can no way be described" was not meant to be taken literally (including wrong descriptions), while obviously he did not mean to include wrong descriptions in the set of ways available to a person wanting to describe something. Forcing him to sideline his actual argument in order to address a pedantic non-issue is classic sealioning.

HYPOCRITE!!! you can almost hear monkey's hoots of protestation lol, but being a hypocrite is just one handy tool in the toolbox of BC's unofficial Official Troll Wrangler. But trolling the trolls of BC using their own trolling techniques only works if you members of the flock are willing to rise to the level of meta comprehension. For those too dumb or too lazy to see the bigger picture these conversations are just chances to experience that warm feeling of running along with an imagined flock of like minded sheep. Yes that does feel good, but its people who aren't paying attention and aren't even trying to see the bigger picture who most need the insight of a troll wrangler in their lives.

For fear of the false rape allegations that get tossed around all too casually, not to mention how casually women seek divorce just for the alimony and child support if they've had kids. Next I suppose Tyred will claim that's just because men want to rape women and get away with it, but that's not reality.

Dragon your point seems to be that many men don't date anymore out of fear of rape culture (or at least "men are bad" culture) being weaponized against them. When you put it that way it seems like you agree that rape culture is a widespread problem with tangible negative impacts on "many" people. Monkey disagrees because he thinks in no [valid] way can western countries be described as rape culture. Possibly the disagreement between you two might come down to how we define culture. You are talking about a trend you might call it, where many men face difficulties due to the negative mentalities (rape culture mentality etc) stacking the social deck against them here in western countries. While monkey might agree with you that there are trends of negative ideas within western culture negatively impacting the lives of men, in his mind unless [narrowly defined] acts of "rape" are rampant and normal and accepted by the culture as a whole, he wouldn't call the culture "a rape culture." You would of course agree with monkey that we don't live in "a rape culture," but just a culture that has some issues.

Which is such an ignorant and surface level moronic way to look at it. You guys should be agreeing because both of you are selfish losers who have twisted your brains into pretzel shapes trying to simultaneously believe that your failure to thrive in life is mostly due to cultural trends empowering the wrong people AND you think that culture which empowers the wrong people is superior and worth preserving from foreign corruption. If you were actually able to follow along with complex reasoning you would have followed the links to that wikipedia article that explained that the notion of rape culture was developed by feminists here in this flawed and damaging western culture of ours. If you or monkey had bothered to learn about the term, you would have realized that no one anywhere described western countries as rape culture. Chuck didn't, the medium article didn't, no one did. The people who invented the term used it to describe trends within cultures, not cultures as a whole.

As usual monkey is just hooting in the wind. As usual you are just blaming the world for your shortcomings. As usual Chuck is wresting with real trends that he's seen throughout his life. People being nasty towards one another. People failing to recognize the dignity and humanity of other people. Chuck read this article and he says to us "Look guys, someone is talking about how horribly people treat each other," but sadly no one here gets it. You want to selfishly turn it around into a whine about how this western culture has produced people who are hostile towards people like you, while monkey fails to engage at all with the Chuck's point choosing instead to quibble over the definition of a term "rape culture" which he just randomly decided to re-conceptualize as "a rape culture" as if the idea was a black and white term that either applied to the whole culture or didn't apply at all.
