I think this is a very good point. Modern feminism itself, particularly as it has evolved into a sort of pervasive anxiety about all sexual contact initiated by men, seems to be a completely lost cause for us; but the grain of truth in Orange Turtle's OP is that ultimately a world in which pederasty flourishes is one in which mothers (fathers as well, of course) are on our side - as you say, we must be allied "not with middle-class feminist intellectuals, but with the most important women in boys' lives." Without wanting to be disgustingly flattering, your thoughts on the board recently about imperialism, for example, and about some empires being admirable, I also find interesting and valuable. If I haven't answered your posts it is because I have nothing either remotely interesting or intelligent to add. I also very much want to second your hope that Orange Turtle is not too disheartened by the fact that her post has attracted an avalanche of the least thoughtful respondents (excluding our good selves, naturally!).
