I apologise for the fact that all the worst people in the world have replied to your thread (including me, but excluding Popcorn who is sort-of brilliant). I don't think it's a realistic prospect this century, but obviously boylove isn't going anywhere until we win over boys' mums. Feminism may come and go and will probably always be a mostly bourgeois concern, but motherhood is liklely to be with us forever and everywhere. In the fantasy boylove utopia of the fourth or fifth millennium, boylovers will need to be allied not with middle-class femninist intellectuals, but with the most important women in boys' lives. |
