Lord of the Flies remake

Just binged the recent remake of LOTF. Lushly photographed and searingly violent. Lox Pratt the boy who plays the emotionally complex Jack is heart-breakingly beautiful. The lad who plays Piggy (my favorite character from the book) gives a touching performance. The lads who play the two other principals Ralph and Simon are also lovely.

The film drills down on the personality of each of the four boys in a way that is much more specific than other versions.

I have always loved both the 1963 an 19990 versions All in all I think it is the best version thus far even if the boys do all keep their pants on.
