There are some people who genuinely hurt children. There are also ‘normal’ men who hurt women, or other men. There's a fairly safe claim to be made, historically, that boylove has involved less violence than hetero relations. The boy later stole from me, and I was devastated. There's a Freudian take on this: He stole from you because you refused to give him what he wanted, sexual intimacy. Sadly, though, you probably made the right choice, because what would in normal circumstances become a position of relationship strength would instead be a perilously dangerous one. |
