I really respect the researchers involved in this study for asking participants to use their preferred term instead of defaulting to CSAM. I might suggest for future research that you consider using the term "prohibited/ illegal images of minors" (PIM or IIM). CSAM / CSEM have obvious problems as it is often used to refer to images that don't involve abuse of exploitation. But CP has its own problem in that it potentially eroticises images that do involve abuse. Mu has been trying to promote the use of the neutral term PIM to strike a balance between these loaded terms for this reason. [@nonymouse] [Guardster] [Proxify] [Anonymisierungsdienst] |
