After NAMbLA was barred from marching in the Los Angeles Pride Parade (1985?), Father of Gay Liberation Harry Hay marched wearing the sign "NAMbLA walks with me." Hay and other pioneers of gay lib would be turning over in their graves now if they saw how the gay movement has become so mainstream. It used to be a radical vehicle for social change. Now their greatest aspiration is to get married!

Re: meetings, I believe they still hold the annual gathering, altho it is kept under close wraps. They had to abandon chapter meetings after harassment became too great. It was absolutely terrible what they did to poor Renato Corazza, the most harmless person in the world. (His photo book, "Made in the USA," is worth looking through, too!) That harassment is documented in Adi Sideman's film about the group, Chicken Hawk, which can be viewed on YouTube at

YT keeps banning it so, just in case, watch or DL it from

Well worth watching.
