Not just the costs, but also the time, the labour, the risk, etc. And what did allying with the US give them? It makes them a target. US "air defense" wouldn't even defend US bases, let alone their economic assets. And it's hilarious how these American assholes will be so hostile to Iran, but they love Arab monarchies and dictatorships so much. But ultimately, anyone who still supports the US in this day and age is either evil, a moron, or both.
