Scientific studies now prove without a doubt that overall human resilience to the toxic effects of consuming 'some' alcohol is largely based upon skin colour. Caucasians and, in general, E/SE Asians are affected equally whether they are drinking beer, wine or spirits. However, darker-skinned people - whilst often able to enjoy the occasional pint, or a shot, or even a glass of vintage Cos d'Estournel - are simply unable physically to cope with a chilled Chablis, a tart Sauvignon Blanc, or a fruity Chardonnay.
