Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool

Now I don't buy any of Trump's claims of vandalism but I only hold him about 60 percent responsible. The contractor is also to blame. This is what I think happened: Trump does not like to seek professional advice and didn't get a good assessment of the problems with the pool to begin with.... and I am thinking that the contractor did not know the algae and what was used to fight the algae would damage the pool coating that they used. They should have known this and told Trump that it was going to need a different lining... likely some sort of blue plastic-like material or ceramic. Also it isn't 1922 anymore, they could have installed a up-to-date filtration system which also added a non-harmful controlled amount of algaecide to fix their algae problem. I don't think anything in this fiasco was intentional except the arrests of several innocent people being used as a smokescreen/scapegoats. Trump just doesn't want to admit that he fucked-up.
