The reason why antisemitism is so popular with idiots (no offence) is because it contains a small nugget of truth and, once you've arrived at it, doesn't require any further thought at all. That is why, in the popular phrase, antisemitism is the socialism of fools. It it allows you to overestimate your own brilliance in arriving at an insight that is not even the first step along the road to working out what is going on. Perhaps it would be truer to say that antisemitism is the political economy of the lazy mind. You're not completely wrong. There is a small, self-interested elite, and Jews are prominent in it. More importantly, and more bafflingly, this elite seems bizarrely in hock to the interests of the Zionist Entity (which is quite distinct from - and arguably opposed to - the interests of most Jews). So you're onto a good start. But at this point you have two options. You can ask a lot more questions: where did this elite come from and what sustains it? What is its history? What are its interests? What is the relationship between ideology and the accumulation of wealth? How does wealth become capital? What the hell is a 'financier' anyway? Where do you and I fit into all this? This is one possible path. I will call it 'socialism.' The other path is just to decide that thinking is too hard and that you've got a perfectly good conspiracy theory that fits everything. Hey, you can ever garnish it with kiddy-fucking (if you think 15-year-olds are kiddies)! This is a much less demanding path. Blame the Jews! Hey, blame the paedophiles! Blame the liberals! Blame anyone! This is not socialism, but it might be close enough for idiots. |
