I don't hold any ill will coonigan either, I mostly just ignore him. But that doesn't mean he should get a free pass to spam the board simply because we've all come to accept that he's a bit of a nutter. I don't say that to be insulting, just to be candid about what everyone seems reluctant to acknowledge.

And I agree that proper moderation would probably mean moving many of his posts to the Treehouse, the Slime Board, or wherever they belong.

Whatever you want to call it, posting at that volume with so little actual on-topic discussion is spamming by any reasonable definition. We're simply tolerating it because
  1. There's barely any other activity.

  2. He's been here forever.

  3. People understandably feel some sympathy for him given the personal struggles he's openly acknowledged.

None of that changes what's happening.
