Protests are, or at least were, mostly peaceful, and immediately the government sent the police with war weapons against the kids. Maybe that's usual in the US, but that's unprecedented in France. Even in 1968, when the youth was really violent and threatened to make a revolution, the authorities displayed much more restraint. But I'm not surprised you and Django side with the police and believe whatever propaganda your conservative media shove through your throats. And sadly enough, only a minority of BLs is really ready to support kids when they need it.
