As Mr. Deutsch says, in a sensible universe, everyone would want to repeat that "malfunction" for themselves, and the Enterprise would be run by children. Could make for an interesting show!

But of course, Star Trek the Next Generation was a TV show in the 90's, and every episode has to go back to normal in the end (more or less), so I understand why the characters were restored in the end.

I wish a man had been regressed instead of Keiko O'Brien. Maybe Worf.
