Brian,
I'm speaking towards you to bring to your attention something you seem to not be conscious of. When you spoke about a drawing of a young dude that you showed to everyone (i think it was only on your blog tho) and then said how you'd LIKE TO basically come up to him like so many men go up to (complete stranger) women: As an object; i was surprised, for sure!

Didn't even try to decorate your vision of this love thing!

You may've been "joking", but I didn't catch that at all.

So I'm figuring maybe you're just totally ignorant of your objectifying approach to this fantasy
you have. Maybe it's the bravado of posting your feelings so often publicly and you're getting lots of (?) responses? Or maybe you're trying to be provocative to get some "friend points" from your buddies.

But i think you're doing a dis-service to boylove by sharing this particular fantasy of yours, whatever your intention.

Me, i fantasize about just KNOWING (in this insane world) such a dude as your drawing depicted! i'd fantasize about getting to know him and be a meaningful companion in his world, helping to liberate him as best as i know how. Sure, i'd fantasize about physicality with him, and yet my focus would be oriented around HIS desire, not mine. And in this world, i'd make sure to inform him as much as possible about how the puritanical-ized view our free bonding.

But you seemed to want to sound "radical", i guess??

So you told everyone about how you'd just approach the young dude like he was a body, an object, where you can IMPOSE your objectifying fantasy, and, wow, we're all supposed to applaud you???

I could easily imagine you mis-representing yourself as a 'BL', by admitting this sort of alienated approach. Except that you dared to do it openly!

And i could also just as easily see you as another MISGUIDED person in a PROCESS, here, of becoming more thoughtful!

So this was on my mind and I wanted to speak about it. I'm not sure if you linked to it from boards like ours here, or if I just saw it on your blog while looking for comments of mine you may've allowed to be published. Perhaps Tyred can help me on this one?

My whole approach is to try to help misguided and wounded people return to the Light of authentic consensual desires when they seem to not understand such things. With so much heavy shit hanging over our collective heads (not to mention our oft-self-taught ways of coping), i would think you (and others) would also be open to such an approach. And not "take it personally" even tho that might be your habit.

Not knowing you, i certainly can only make my feelings heard.

I will say i've found your unique perspective interesting over the short time i've seen you posting here and elsewhere, until finding that one. And i look forward to seeing how you evolve over time!!
Chuck
