this is a much more interesting take than the idea of "sexual adultism", which isnt even a thing, but the OP is trying to make it a thing by repetition. In my own suburb of the Anglosphere, there are big barbed-wire fences put up between children and adults. yes, its interesting that this is now the case. It didnt use to be the case. Does that mean that there was no danger to schools in the past(i assume you are talking about schools?)? Or theres more danger now? Or something else? I am going to draw a connection between feminism, the rise of women in positions of power and authority, and the rise in safety culture. Thats one explanation for how this could happen. Women, being programmed by the last few billion years of evolution, and having the role of taking care of babies and toddlers, are going to be primarily concerned with safety, they will see threats and dangers everywhere, which is great and right when they are caring for babies and toddlers. But as they moved away from being carers of babies and toddlers, they have brought the safety concerns with them everywhere they go. It has been my experience that in any setting where women are in authority, boys no longer get to play like boys because of safety concerns. No cap guns, not even fingers as guns, no "violent" play ( read rambunctious, acting out conflict, play fighting, etc). no climbing "too high", and so on. the best way to keep children safe is to keep them away from adults entirely, I guess. Other than females, who obviously never harm children.... |
