| An ip address can be used to identify you. Of course, Tor does NOT protect you from a nation-state level adversary....like the FBI...Tor does not hide your Internet activities from law enforcement.....Tor was never designed to hide your Internet activities from government agencies.....ironically, the illegal content can be accessed (in many places) without Tor nor any privacy apps......illegal content as in real CSAM.....yeah, it isn't hard to check what your ip address is. Of course, your real ip address might not reveal your exact physical location.....for example, the ip address on my computer is not based on the city I live in.....my ISP provider is located in a different city from where I live..... |
