I'm uncomfortable with this whole thread

bC very understandably has a general rule against linking real-life identities to online nicks. And even where that link might be said to be public knowledge, it is really not appropriate to broadcast it on bC.

I tend to think this whole thread should be removed. The fact that a person may have been careless with their own online identity is no justification for compounding their mistake.

The mention of a specific board, other media and a particular user-name goes well beyond what free spirits would normally allow.

See Rule 4: "A poster’s information is his/her own, and his/her right alone to reveal it. [....] Do not volunteer information about other posters even if you believe it to be common knowledge or harmless to reveal."
