Child porn is the devil's pale imitation of boylove. "It's just as good," the father of lies whispers into your ear, but if you happen to be so lucky as to have a relationship with a real live boy, you look up from your cellphone and as you lock eyes oxytocin and dopamine spurt into both people's brains. Porn doesn't make the same juices flow as a real friend who you actually know and you care for each other. Your body will starve on a diet of porn just as surely as a person will starve if they only eat rabbit (rabit starvation). BOYS TOYS you need to engage the parental control settings on your phone and decide how much time you want to dedicate daily to scrolling snapchat and then set that as your screentime limit. You can always put your password in to extend a cellphone sesh, but it sounds like you might benefit from a reminder to put the phone down and start living the life that only begins after the screens are put away. Especially if you have young friends or really friends of any age, the phone is the enemy of friendship. It's sad to think about those thousands of preteens and teens out there talking to "chat" and posting selfie pictures and videos, imagining they have friends, when really they don't. The way they are using these apps (tiktok and insta are similar) to try to go viral and get noticed in an environment where 99.99% of them never will. It's not that sad if they just do it for a few minutes a day, but those kids you see on their phone every time you see them - they are rotting their minds and missing out on the great big beautiful world out here in real life. The fact that you had to remind us to never ever actually say a kind word to any of the perma strangers on our phones just makes it glaringly obvious how much of an anti-friendship device a phone can be. You didn't mean for your post to be a warning, but reading this is a warning about how alienating apps meant for friendship can be.
