Is he close enough of a friend to just ask?

But in all seriousness does he have knowledge of your BL status? I'd assume not because it is rather sensitive topic--but I also don't know that status of your two's relationship.

If he knows or you think he knows you're a BL then maybe just ask him the next time an incident like this occurs, "Hey, do you happen to be attracted to underage girls" in the most respectful way you can.
