Society is actually quite fine

You focus a lot on macro issues, missing the small things in life. Around here society seems fine. Kids are growing up healthy, loved and vaccinated. We have multiple community gardens and playgrounds, mostly connected to a variety of churches that all get along, despite their different denominations. Kids around here ride dirtbikes, swim in our many pools and creeks and lakes, all under the watchful eye of their parents, older siblings and community members who are plugged in with each other. During the summers the individual church choirs form one large community choir including a number of musical instruments and guest performers from around here. There is some sort of community pot luck or catered meal every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night with the different churches taking turns hosting EVERYONE is welcome and kids galore.

Turn the tv off and go outside. Notice where people are gathering and gather with them. Everywhere people live people are making music, playing sports, sharing food. You have such a warped view of society because you never go outside and give your neighbors a chance to show you how human they can be.
