There are too many examples of bad science in sexology. Some authors have published just one paper and then left the field due to being ostracized. Others left USA and are not teaching other places. Funding own science gets nearly impossible after publishing a "wrong" paper.

From what i gathered is that the ancient Greeks had rituals that had to be followed for man-boy love with a free boy. Sex with a slave was much different - puer delicatus for ancient Rome. And i think this was the end of a long era with man-boy sex. Before schools and formal teaching were invented, boys had to learn the craft from someone. Of couse, they had to establish a relationship beneficial for both. And it works best if the apprentice is eager to please the master. There is really much pointing into that direction, last not least the missing baculum.

Write anything along those lines in a published paper, and even congress will reject you (even without reading the paper). The majority of people does not want to know the truth.
