This video was posted over 5 years ago, and the content itself is probably much older (definitely not pandemic-era). Kameron is at least 17, and probably an adult by now. These videos tug on yer heart strings and get you to want to adopt a kid. If not Kameron than someone like him. But for the videos they pick the most photogenic, sweet seeming kids, and make it sound like all they need is a little love and all will be right with the world. I'm not saying you couldn't or shouldn't help (hell, I know I did), but it isn't as easy as they make it sound. First there's a lot of hoops to go through if you want to become an adoptive parent (especially as a single man ... huh I wonder why they'd be more suspicious?). Then you don't have a whole lot of say on what type of kid you're going to get. I mean, you could probably specify gender and a rough age range, but good luck finding a boy you think is cute! :p Finally there's a lot of trauma these kids carry with them. I noticed they mentioned Kameron would do best if he were the youngest child or the only child. I have to wonder why the youngest, and I'm not sure I like where my mind goes on that one. Just saying it's not going to be all sunshine and rainbows, no matter how good he looks on camera. Although he does look pretty good. lol (hugs) -= ryvid =- ![]() |
