Children who will survive the coming apocalypse will be the ones who have learnt to favor cooperation over competition. It is a universal law of nature that when resources become scarce, cooperation is the winning strategy.

That may favor inter-generational relationships as well. Place 30 kids of the same age in the same room with the same individual objectives, and competitive behaviors are certain to emerge. But place people of different age together, and the behavior can either be predatory, or cooperative. As resources get scarce and people will have no choice but to live closer together, predatory behavior will mostly get eliminated at the root, leaving all the place to cooperative behaviors. And what's more favorable to cooperation than some loving feelings toward one another?

Yes there is immense hope in the future for selfless, benevolent boylovers, no matter how terrible the situation may become.

Lots of happy boys to you,

FF
