It's easy enough to "win" an argument if the only person you have to convince is yourself, but in the real world most people aren't convinced by these categorizing arguments. Chalking up someone's perspective as being totally dominated and influenced by the group you assign them to is only persuasive to people on your same dimwit level. To those of us who recognize that people are more than the labels that you imagine for them, your post is just impotent barking coming from the back yard which those of us willing and able to have adult conversations close the window and ignore. Chuck surely noticed how BC has changed from when he used to visit years ago. People used to have more actual conversations about how to relate to actual boys. There have always been these toxic attempts to shut people down by claiming that "we all" see that they belong to some category of people, either racial, gender or philosophical that gives "us all" the sign to categorically dismiss everything they said, but there have also always been BCers like Chuck who don't fall into groupthink. The years have not been kind to BC. Most of the participants who were able to move on to higher level conversations have done so, leaving this concentrated brine of dimwits and mental incompetents that the newbies and returning oldsters of today encounter. ![]() |
