Suppose there is a complaint, or suspicions.

It's easy to convict someone of "placing a child in danger" or some such nonsense.

Once it's determined that the danger involves "sex" and "children" they're got you!

Then they can confine you forever, if you get any jail time at all.

Almost every state now has confinement laws.

Check Wikipedia for sexually violent predator laws.
