Isn't that a medieval practice to drive the devil out of obsessed people? I was reading it like that.

Anyway, it is stupid to begin with. 5 year olds are "playboys", the best age of kids to just play with. And at that age, they are just kids. I really doubt that kids that age even know what kind of attraction they have. I remember being declared the "best friend ever" and then he turns around and goes to "another best friend for life".

In my country, beating a kid gets you in prison.
