what a surprise. Your "solution" is theft of private property. but opposition to the fact that online social spaces have been enclosed and monetised for corporate gain. They havent been. You are free to start your own "online social space" with whatever characteristics you want. the "oligarchs" didnt steal or enclose online social spaces. They werent oligarchs when they started their companies. They created something, and people used it, until they didnt. You talk as if "online social spaces" actually exist and that people can just colonize or take them over like pieces of land. They dont exist, they are a concept, an idea. but as long as it fits into your narrative of oppression and oligarchs and theft and evil capitalism, you dont care what you say. But suppose the platforms, instead of being owned by oligarchs, were owned by all of us. How would that even work? You and I have very different views on how things work. How can we both own the same thing? Does Farage and his "evil far right" also get a share? Of course, what you actually mean is communists and collectivists do the owning, and anyone who doesnt agree with what they do has no say at all. |
