Well said!

The only thing i take issue with is where you say:

derived from 19th century religious puritanicalism.
---
And where does that come from? Not out of "whole cloth"! (From "nowhere" as if inherent within what they call we, the "stupid masses")

Naw, they simply learned the formula to make lots of $$$$$$ and careers and so on. The main thing, it dovetailed with what statecraft saw as problematic: close bonds between the generations!

A power spot!

And since at least the 1960s, tho apparently the early 20th century or even 19th century, there has been a major front fought upon sexuality where it is truly bonding people --across class lines and so on.

But why, you ask?

So that they could stop us from "trampling" everything that they got going for themselves (at the oft expense of the generally, stupid-ized settlers); (especially notable mindset of Old Europe and continuing in indy histories from 1930s and 1960s; see Howard Zinn for one good source.)

They believed they HAD TO blunt the liberation efforts of the masses of people, and so they marshalled the business-owning class (i.e. the Trilateral Commission) and then could "reel in the herd" and put us into so-called "Proper" and "Appropriate" 'Lanes' and Boxes, and reductions and all kinds of other new obstacles to impede our ever even imagining life beyond lifelong servitude (in exchange for materials and, we hope, safety).

Glad to read your posts, btw! You bring a sort of FRESH AIR to what can become stagnant! i get that from Jessy's posts as well! And Kabby! And...heh!
