I perfectly understand the rage that comes up with this topic, as probably a lot of bad things happened and maybe are still happening. But it is absolutely painful to see how media, and some people who are put into the spotlight, are always about the "pedophile" scandal, the child sex scandal and so on. That pedophiles are in secret ruling the world and they protect each other.

What a bullshit.

Many people on this board knows what pedophiles life actually looks like, and that they are certainly not protected by the government. The Epstein case are very rich and powerful people doing things that very rich and powerful people are doing. And when they want to have sex with some 16 year old, then they have ways to do it. I am not saying that this is good, but that this has nothing to do with pedophilia, neither the age of the victims nor the whole story. But what average Joe is getting again and again hammered in by the media is that pedophiles are the most evil thing in the world. And with this sentiment the next laws are made and the next regular dude who was a bit too deep in love with a kid gets life in prison.
