Right, so there *is* an off switch in the brain, somewhere. The mechanism exists. "Off switch" is probably a bad descriptor for what happens, but something happens for sure. Studying that change in BL's brains with FMRI or more - well, I just wonder where that would lead. If it led to a way out, I'm sure many would take it, especially these days. I wouldn't but obviously many would. I don't want to ask personal questions about your situation, but is it true for you too that those feelings just ceased when it came to your sons? They could bring a friend over and that friend, who perhaps wasn't even as attractive as your son, brought out the desires? I've heard that happens usually and never truly believed it. I guess the inverse could be studied as well, which is maybe even more prevalent. :/ I'm not looking for a cure. It's just curious to me as someone who used to doubt it was real. |
