I was extremely shy and fearful when young. I have since gotten over that, to the point that I can be quite bold, and do things that some of the self-loathers here call "creepy"--like making contact with boys (even if not cute) in public when given the chance. That includes on public transport, but that environment requires more creativity.

Working with boys, you are certain to know how boys appreciate the opportunity to interact with men--even with us "pedos".

Well, I've got some tricks up my sleeve. In your situation, I might have done a number of things, from the a-bit-strange to the brazenly bold.

Simple magic tricks are loved by boys, and it's not that hard to catch a boy's eye and indicate that he should watch. Then there are things that can be done with a coin (passing invisibly through the air from one hand to another) or a ball-point pen, a cigarette, or a similar object (apparently inserting it in one's ear only to cause it to reappear out of one's nose) or dozens of other things--the joining-two-hands-palms-together, extending the middle fingers, giving your hands a twist, then making the two fingers, now extended, move in opposite directions.

Anyway, I've entertained many boys (and girls, too) using such simple artifices. You might want to consider doing the same. It makes the boys happy to get some adult attention, makes you happy, and assures the boy will remember you in a positive way, should you (Oh! Please, god!) get the chance to see him again.

Or you could have pointed at his Barça shorts, and given a thumbs-up sign.

Don't let these opportunities to bring a little joy and happiness into the world of a boy pass by! It's our responsibility as BoyLovers to make contact with boys, even if only fleeting!

I could go on--you know where they got on, for example. That suggests possibilities.

You could have feigned confusion, and asked him if the bus stopped at such-and-such bus stop--this gives the boy the chance to feel competent, and to direct your eyes to the all-too-obvious screen hanging from the ceiling of the bus that announces the next destination, which you could then thank him for.

Anyway, I, too, have posted similar BMs, often including the antics that I get up to with the boys in the posts.

Well, next time I hope you have some new ideas on how to make a bit more meaningful contact with a random boy.

Like Wikipedia says, "Be bold!"

The other passengers will ignore you, and you can get away with being a little silly.

The one or two who notice will suppose that you know the boy already, and just happen to be sitting opposite him. You could be his uncle, for example.

Well--I've rambled on long enough.

M.
Good luck! Or, like a loyal Barça fan might say, "Bona sort!"
