I haven't yet seen 28 Years Later but I shall make a point of viewing it when it comes out on blu-ray - Alfie Williams certainly has an interesting look. If I were forced to choose my absolute favourite "horror" movies ever, I think I would have to choose El espinazo del diablo / The Devil's Backbone (Guillermo del Toro), very closely followed by Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992, Francis Ford Coppola), and Isle of the Dead (1945, with Boris Karloff). I also particularly like Låt den rätte komma / Let the Right One In, The Witch: a New-England Folktale (2015), Limbo (Iván Noel), The Boy (2015, with the exceptional Jared Breeze), Évolution (2015 - if this is admitted as "horror"), and Salem's Lot (1979). I liked the Sloan Brothers in Sinister 2, but it was a pity the movie itself was below par. ![]() |
