No, I would not be hanging out with kids any more if I had or hadn't, it would have made no difference in the midst of what I consider to be an extremely toxic culture. I was a pedo long before I ever got into trouble for being one. I have no regrets about being what I am, feels perfectly natural to me, but we all make embarrassing mistakes in our lives, as I freely admit I have done (details withheld for obvious reasons). But the evil laws need to change.. and it would be my pleasure to see it happen by hook or by crook. I do feel sorry (and wary) for those who cannot see their own faults though.. and there are so many people like that, arrogant narcissists all. I see them every day, I work with them, I see them on TV, on the internet, they're everywhere. I see them being voted into positions of power, and trying to control the lives of other people and wrecking them willy nilly.. not realising the damage they do.. thinking they're perfect and I'm not. They know not what danger they walk into by being that way. I can think of one big narcissist who is learning the hard way though.. keeps putting the world closer and closer to nuclear war because of his stupidity. But there are many many much smaller examples of the same kind of oblivious stupidity and arrogance that don't involve quite so much danger. ways that respects their dignity and human rights You mean, like, giving young people the freedom to say yes as much as the right to say no? Like wrenching them from an oppressive culture that treats children like the chattel property of their parents? Sorry, but you'll have to do battle with half the population of the world on that score, with notable groups being prime offenders. ![]() |
