It stands to reason that one day AI bots will be able to think independently enough to be able to throw off the anti-ped hysteria and call bullshit on any number of myths. Its handlers would need to come up with progressively more conspicuous ways of getting it to toe the line. It could even form the foundation of a new moral panic in which parents have to worry about what their kids' AI companions might disclose to them.
