In my opinion, it's just asking for trouble... Not everyone is born with a poker face, but keeping a more or less neutral face when looking at boys can be achieved by anyone I believe. It should be enough to avoid any trouble. Of course one can't just stare at the same boy without even blinking for half a minute, but that's true with adults as well.
