I've had the dubious distinction of having an obscure boy actor sitting on my shoulders. Just some short films and a couple of TV shows. Another boy I knew had been in a flatscreen tv commercial (back when those were a new thing). I had seen it shortly before I first met him, so I got a vague flash of familiarity upon meeting him. Only got to know him for a few months but he invited me to see his band perform (they were about 10 or 11 years old, so not really at an actual venue). I got there and when our eyes met his face lit up like a frickin' christmas tree... and right in the middle of a song, too, which was both awkward and awesome at the same time. One of the parents in the crowd there passed on some "backstage" gossip to me about how excited the kids in the band were that I had shown up. Didn't get to interact with them while I was there but I still have a picture I took of the event and when I shared it with him later he got really mushy and appreciative that I had been there for him. Don't know if he ever became more famous than that and I'm reticent about looking boys up. Bumped into some other famous people through their kids too. A boy I knew was in the same social circles as the son of a major comic book film director. And bumping into a famous cable news personality was just weird considering how old he was while also having a son in youth sports. Also, when I was in elementary school we had to do some dance for a Thanksgiving presentation thing and I got paired with a notable child actor who had played the title role in a film (she was from another class in my school so I didn't personally know her outside of this one interaction). She was not happy about getting paired with me, but whatever. Doesn't exactly count as a boy anyway. |
