During the entyre month of October no post made nearly as much waves as: We need to get feminists on our side Posted by Orange Turtle on 2026-October-7 20:52:54, Wednesday Along with her later push back on an elderly gentleman's comment insinuating that boys do commonly feel free to show erotic love towards grownups, Orange Turtle's contrarian views contrasted sharply with the views held by the typical habituates of this place in ways that tell us both about her and about ourselves. Sexual adultism: Orange Turtle describes the closed minded way many people rigidly look at children as categorically different to adults. Of course any idiot can tell you that children (especially babies) are different to adults, but Orange Turtle urges us not to just stop with that guttural first dumb thought that comes to mind and be open minded to the idea that children and adults are categorically the same and those who are over rigid in the way they relate to kids are reducing the children's well being and holding society back. Society has nonsensical notions that kids are too immature for plenty of things they're actually mature enough for. And honestly, even when the majority of kids aren't mature enough, not everyone matures at the same rate. Adultism is a denial of the diversity of humanity.(link) So related to paternalism and ageism. Such a basic concept isn't that hard to grasp, and it would have been nice if more people had tried a little harder to see what she was describing rather than quibble with her choice of lingo, but most BCers (like a lot of boomers and elderly folk these days) are unable to learn new vocabulary at this stage in life. If you weren't tripped up by Orange Turtle's creative word choice and you agree with her that people these days discriminate against children in ways that prevents them from participating as fully in society as they could and you agree that that harms the kids and holds society back, then you are not alone. Now if you want you can become woke to the idea and push back on sexual adultism when you see it in yourself or the people around you irl and if you see someone reacting like the hooting mob here, you'll know better than to try to reason with them! Changing feminists: Orange Turtle does not defend feminism. She argues that feminism is wrong and suggests that it be rebranded as "female liberation" with a focus on letting go of the shackles of paternalism. Again, like with sexual adultism, she's saying people should be recognized as full human beings with individual places along the spectrum rather than falling into rigid categories according to age or gender. Feminism is a major obstacle to youth liberation, she says. You wouldn't think that would be such flame bait, but not since kit's daily Palestinian boy videos has a post worked so well as a tool to expose the kind of people dominating the BC index these days. Their hateful comments illustrate that they are so closed minded towards women that they can't even discuss the idea that women might could be reasoned with. If you are reading along at home and haven't given up completely on women, Orange Turtle reminds you that you aren't alone. There are others of us who believe in befriending women and working with them to make this a more just and sensible world for ourselves and children. Thank you Orange Turtle for reminding us that the grizzled grumps do not own BC. Whoever you are, no matter if you are a young girl, a dike on a bike or a religious grandmother, all are explicitly welcome to discuss boylove here. If you don't see your views reflected here, that's no mistake, since you can see how different views are treated, but you can also be like Orange Turtle and not let the hate get you down. Also notice that not everyone was hostile, so if you keep an eye out you will notice some good guys mixed in with the bad. Even if you don't feel free to post your thoughts here, feel free to have them. As Chuck says, wE aRe oNlY LiMiTeD bY oUr iMaGiNaTiOnS!!! ![]() |
