Manny's point wasn't that letting your email account slip to friends would ruin your life, but rather that failing to use Tor one time would result in the cops immediately crashing your door down. Your concept of coming out of the closet meaning to publicly announce that you want to fuck kids is a stupid way to interpret people talking about speaking about private matters with a real friend, but still that has nothing to do with Manny's advice to look to the cogs to recognize who we should trust or his outlandish ideas about cops regularly taking over the social media accounts of people they prosecute.
