BC Digest January 2026

Don't worry, the stats you've all been clamoring for are still going to be included, but in the interest of adding a little positivity to what has become a somewhat negative scene here at BC this month a number of us have collaborated behind the scenes to create this curated list of the best and most worthwhile reads, notable newbies/no shows and important threads of the month. The number of new threads has continued to trend downward with 137 this January down from the 153 last month, inspiring 802 replies, a 25% increase over the 605 replies last month. The reduction in posts but increase in chatter is possibly explained by a drastic reduction in spammy posts by largely ignored previously daily posters. Coonigan only shared one of his creepy A.I. monstrosities and Manstuprator spent more time responding to threads started by others and started relatively few of his own. Out of the four horseman of largely ignored daily spam of months past only xdsaz is still posting almost every day and Hulann seems to have totally disappeared, possibly due to technical difficulties. Nightlight might not have found much to his taste this month on BC, but for those who enjoy a bit of armchair theorizing there was a number of cerebral conversations this month, including several posts from the brainy JohnHolt who defined Erastoconservatism and led BC's elderly nerds in a discussion of First Things, The Rise and Fall of Gay Activism. Our Brazillian buddy Apertado kept us in the loop with moos from Mu, discussions about sexual harm from Ipce and a warning about Microsoft products from Heretictoc. BC's ever fiesty BLogger BLueRibbon started several discussions including an interview with a pro-crime pedophile, a proposal to outlaw MAP activism in the UK and techniques for reaching out to "self-loathing" MAPs. Elderly genXer starmanjones reminisced about the old days. The citrus shelled Orange Turtle asked some provocative questions about youth sexual liberation and people's reaction to children's exposure to pornography. Most of the links to boy content are not worth repeating, however YouTube junky slvrspun hypothesized that boylovers/pedophiles are the canaries in society's coal mine, linking to a speech by a Canadian Canary. While they were not technically thread starting posts, kit's rejection of the "pederast" label and Pharmakon's response sparked intense discussion. On a rare personal level, drudgeprowler shared a story from his youth which sources say would have fit in better with the old BC. As a recently returning BCer from the old days he may not yet realize how much BC has changed. Other newbies include Mattteob with a number of suspicious post prompting BC's regulars to ask the age old question: Is he up to no good or is it just autism? plus superboylover used his introductory post to ask if he was a weirdo and if anyone cares yo01 is still waiting for anyone to share their thoughts on his link to a Japanese song [warning LOUD]. Ryxler the historian also made his first post as did BuddhaGotDough who (if you can believe it) seems to have gotten here on accident and sinusoidal shared a link to a heart-on-a-sleeve old book. Now to the January stats and wow look at the newby Mattteob leading the pack with 69 replies. He's really putting both feet in it. Both Bromios 67 and monkeyLostInHead 59 made more replies than Manstuprator the usual "top" commenter, though these numbers were collected on Febuary 1st, before many of monkey's trolling comments were cleaned up.
